This new addition to the SSL Complete Bundle, DeEss uses a relative threshold algorithm to allow the user to change the input levels of signals without impacting the de-esser’s response.

With workflow tools such as automatic auditioning and a built-in control, the DeEss allows you to rebrighten the de-ess signals that need it.

Users can also target either mid or side components of a signal, and toggle with automatic oversampling and lookahead options. Additionally, the plugin has carefully designed presets for different voice types, giving it the ideal flexibility for any vocal recording.

DeEss also boasts a multi-shade waveform visualiser, enabling users to see the quietest and loudest parts of the signal, as well as their relative threshold.

The plugin’s ‘Split’ and ‘Broadband’ processing modes also give way to a variety of filtering options for frequency de-essing, wherein users can choose between or blend the two.

SSL have released the new SSL DeEss plugin as part of their complete bundle, at an introductory price until May 5 2022.
