Collaborating with DaHouse Audio and world leading synth builder Arthur Joly, move.ment is based on sounds in nature which were captured all over the world from rivers in South Korea to the Sahara Desert.

“Movement in nature has inspired us for centuries. And now, sounds in nature have inspired a new musical instrument,” Kia said in a remarkably confident and earnest marketing promo.

“The sounds of movement in nature help induce the creative flow state of consciousness.

“The sounds of movement in nature produce what’s known as pink noise which increases the alpha waves in the brain, inducing the flow state of consciousness, the state in which the brain is at its most creative.”

Even despite all the dramatic and a little eschewed marketing, it is quite interesting for a free VST.

After selecting your sound source of nature you can shape it in the Mixer section which comes with individual parameter controls for the VCO, Noise, Sampler, and Reverb effect.

It also features a filter, an ADSR envelope and an Output section.

Kia has already actioned move.ment to create the new sound logo and sounds for its new electric SUV, the EV6.

The instrument has also inspired a four-track album that features compositions from up-and-coming artists with Kia claiming the album was tested on over 200 participants and indicated that there was increased activity in the parts of the brain connected to creativity.
