Skills/experience required:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or business; MBA preferred

  • Multi-national company experience preferred
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity

Project Coordinator – The University of Melbourne

The Faculty of the Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (VCA & MCM) offers programs in music, visual arts, performing arts and film to emerging artistic practitioners in the midst of one of the world’s most vibrant arts precincts at Southbank. They are currently on the hunt for a new Project Coordinator to join the team in Melbourne.

 

You will be responsible for identifying and leading a program of key projects and business improvement initiatives across the Faculty to deliver process and system improvements in priority areas. You will be the Faculty expert in process improvement and liaise with the University’s Continuous Improvement Centre to adopt and train staff across the Faculty in Agile and Lean Six Sigma solutions. You will also act as the Executive Assistant to the Faculty Executive Director.

 

You must be passionate about continuous improvement and innovation and be able to build and maintain highly productive and collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholder groups across the University.  You will have a degree with relevant project management experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training and education. Additionally you will hold Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.

 

The role is full time, fixed term until 31 August 2018 and will primarily be based at the Southbank campus. Industry Relations Manager – Pandora

 

The Music Maker Group is responsible for delivering on Pandora’s promise to strengthen the bonds between artists and their fans. Teams spanning Industry Relations, Custom Content, Events, Promotions, and Analytics work collaboratively to identify, source, and deliver compelling artist programs with their fans on Pandora.

 

As a member of the Industry Relations team, you will be responsible for the campaigns and initiatives for major labels and Pandora. You will nurture professional relationships and constantly be on the lookout for new opportunities for Pandora to engage with labels. You will work in coordination with labels and other internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of artist-driven events, promotion, and custom content programs. You have a strong understanding of industry dynamics, including but not limited to artist marketing & promotion, label-artist dynamics, and the online music space.  The ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to shape the future of Pandora’s music industry relationships in the face of ambitious growth plans.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with music rights holders
  • Evangelize Pandora’s ability to add value to label partners
  • Help build partnerships between labels and Pandora across events, branded content, marketing, and curation opportunities
  • Plan artist media campaigns and artist marketing programs for labels on Pandora
  • Understand business objectives of the music industry, listeners, advertisers, and Pandora’s cross-functional departments

 

Skills/experience required:

  • 3-5 years of label related experience working in marketing and a firm understanding of label’s prioritisation systems and requirements
  • Prior relationships and working experience with labels
  • Digital media sales experience and understanding
  • Deep understanding of music industry practices and norms
  • Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative
  • Tactical and strategic awareness
  • Attention to detail
  • Outstanding planning and process abilities
  • A collaborator, a team player and a problem solver
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
