Recorded at Tropical Fuckstorm Studios and produced by Aaron Cupples (The Vaccines, The Drones, Paul Kelly), Kids On Fire is the first taste of what’s to come from Gold Class’s follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut LP It’s You.
The accompanying music video, directed by Geoffrey O’Conner, appears in black and white and is an intricate visual experience. Speaking about his creative process, O’Conner says, “I’ve always wanted to make something with a bit of a venetian blind shadow play and luckily Gold Class let me do it. It felt cruel making them play the song extra fast with a bright light flashing in their eyes, if they never perform this song again it’s probably my fault”.
Gold Class have emerged from the Australian underground and seeped onto the world stage. Now, the band are headed to The Tote to play two shows for their devoted Melbourne fans. After playing Golden Plains and Splendour In The Grass it’s no surprise that the guys have been included in the Paradise Music Festival line-up for later this year.
After smashing out their Australian sets, the guys are hitting the UK and Europe to share their sound with crowds overseas.
