The new technology they’re referring to combines iconic acoustic voicings and big electric tones. There’s a blend knob on the American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster that allows you to dial in a mix of the two to wild effect. There’s also three different pickups, a piezo acoustic style pickup, a Tim Shaw designed humbucker and an internal body sensor for capturing percussive hits tot he guitar.
In this video, Julien Baker takes on the challenge, playing a heart string pulling rendition her song ‘Something’ from the 2015 album Sprained Ankle.
The singer-songwriter shines in this environment, with the new guitar giving off more sheen than in her studio recording of the song.
