Presenting a trio of folk-sized, auditorium-cutaway and dreadnaught models, each guitar in the Deep Forest Ebony series features a tiger-striped ebony soundboard, helping to project a warm tone with an abundance of low-mid definition.

An okoume laminate is used on the back and sides of each guitar to provide a rich, mahogany-like response, with Washburn emphasising the scooped tonal profile of the range thanks to the response between ebony and okoume.

Meanwhile, a mahogany neck is complemented with an engineered wood bridge and fretboard for optimum tone and tuning stability, with the body of each guitar also being adorned with a high-contrast black stripe, subtle white binding and a pearloid rosette.

Washburn have also fitted the Ebony ACE auditorium cutaway and Ebony FE folk guitar with Barcus Berry LX4 active electronics, with each pickup and preamp system being mounted on the upper bout of the shoulder and featuring a four-band EQ, notch and volume control alongside a handy digital tuner.
