A new foundation is putting real money and mentorship behind Australian artists who are ready to take their careers to the global stage.

The freshly launched Volume Foundation is a not-for-profit dedicated to supporting Australian music creators with flexible export funding, live opportunities, mentorship, and strategic guidance.

With a model that links private enterprise to cultural impact, the Foundation aims to bridge the gap between local talent and international stages.

A new model for creative funding

Volume Foundation operates as the philanthropic arm of Volume Australia, the premium vodka and gin brand that reinvests 3% of its revenue directly into the organisation’s programs.

It’s an approach that answers the call of the Revive National Cultural Policy by uniting government aspirations with private-sector muscle. As Co-Founder and Director Albert Kruger puts it, the mission is to back artists “for the long term, not just the next gig.”

First initiative: Volume Per Diem

At the heart of the launch is the Foundation’s flagship program, Volume Per Diem (VPD), a $30,000 international export package designed to give artists and managers the time and freedom to grow their careers abroad.

Each VPD provides a 12-week residency, a $2,000 per week living wage, $6,000 in support for managers, plus access to mentorship and industry introductions. The emphasis is on flexibility—funds can be used for travel, recording, meetings, or creative development with no mandated outputs. Applications open soon, with artists assessed on vision, export readiness, and long-term potential.

Industry-led leadership

The Foundation is led by industry heavyweights including Albert Kruger, Milly Petriella OAM, and Jesse Forge, with Rachel Kelly (UNIFIED Music Group) serving as Chair. With a board stacked with music, business, and creative leaders, Volume Foundation is setting itself up as a genuine force for building sustainable global careers.
