Along with standard bug fixes and workflow improvements, Steinberg has ensured Cubasis maintains and increases users as version 3.4 supports Ableton Link meaning it can sync to other Ableton-Link-enabled software and hardware devices over WiFi.

Cubasis’ MIDI recording features have also experienced an update as long tap on the locator range lets you instantly place the locators in a new position to quickly start your recording.

You can also use the Chord Buttons to instantly create chord sequences with single taps as MIDI time-stretch lets you easily find out how different speeds sound via a few simple taps.

Cubasis 3.4 also includes improvements to the State Save feature where the DAW will now reopen projects in exactly the same state as before, including things like zoom levels, mixer channel width and user setup choices to allow you to pick up where you left off.

Steinberg said “while there are many DAW apps available on the market, there is only one Cubasis app that pairs powerful features with unmatched usability”.

“Cubasis 3.4 adds more than 75 improvements, ensuring the highest performance and rock-solid stability to help you capture your ideas and polish them into professional-sounding songs,” they said.

The update is free for existing owners of Cubasis 3, but if you don’t have Cubasis yet, Steinberg is currently offering a promotion that gets you 40 per cent off Cubasis and 50 per cent off in-app purchases until February 14, 2022.
