Calibration filters can now be deployed directly to the onboard DSP of the Sub8 PRO, Sub10 PRO, and A Series monitors via the new ADAM Control software.
Sonarworks has announced that its SoundID Reference calibration software now extends to ADAM Audio’s new Sub8 PRO and Sub10 PRO subwoofers, bringing accurate calibration to the entire monitoring system, from the highs and mids right down to the lowest octave.
The integration launches alongside ADAM Control, ADAM Audio’s new management and calibration platform and the free successor to A Control. The Sub PRO models join the A Series studio monitors in offering built-in SoundID Reference support, with both connecting over Ethernet to ADAM Control. From there, advanced filters created in SoundID Reference are deployed straight to the DSP embedded in each device.

The result is calibration that runs on the speakers themselves, meaning there’s no correction plug-in to bypass before printing a mix and no extra processing in the computer’s signal chain. Monitors and subwoofers are measured and corrected together, so the low end becomes part of the same calibrated picture rather than a separate problem to solve.
ADAM Control offers two calibration paths for stereo and multichannel Sub PRO and A Series systems. Users can adjust EQ, gain, phase, and delay manually at no additional cost, or opt for the more automated, measurement-based workflow of SoundID Reference. Both stereo and immersive setups are supported, with an LFE Mode on the subwoofers tailored to Dolby Atmos.
The new Sub8 PRO and Sub10 PRO themselves are built around eight- and ten-inch woofers respectively, each using a fibre-reinforced paper cone and Class D amplification, with onboard DSP managing crossovers, filtering, and EQ. Bass ports shaped using Finite Element Analysis are designed to keep low-frequency output clean at high SPL. Connectivity includes an AES3 digital input up to 24-bit/96 kHz, an XLR/TRS combo input, and a footswitch bypass for bass management.
“Accurate low end is where most rooms fall apart, and it’s exactly where engineers make their most critical decisions,” said Helmuts Bems, co-founder and CEO of Sonarworks. “Bringing SoundID Reference into ADAM Audio’s Sub PRO means the whole monitoring system – monitors and subwoofers together – is calibrated on the hardware itself. You set it once and simply trust what you hear.”
