Handcrafted in Oxnard, California with HVX maple shells, the four-piece kit is limited to 125 sets worldwide.
DW has announced a limited-edition Performance Series four-piece kit in Black Oyster Glass FinishPly, available for a limited time and capped at only 125 sets worldwide.
The kit is handcrafted in Oxnard, California, using DW’s patented HVX shell technology and 100% North American hard rock maple plies. DW says the Performance Series uses its shell construction and drum hardware to perform night after night.

Shells
HVX shells are built with maple plies whose grains are oriented in horizontal, vertical and diagonal patterns, which DW says delivers low, punchy and warm fundamentals. The tom and bass drum shells use eight plies of maple, and the shells are precision-cut with 45-degree bearing edges on the toms and 60-degree edges on the bass drum and snare. According to DW, the 45-degree edges give the toms tonality and sustain, while the 60-degree edges add depth and punch to the bass drum and snare.

Sizes and hardware
The kit comes in popular F.A.S.T. sizes:
- Mounted toms: 8×10″ and 9×12″
- Floor tom: 14×16″
- Bass drum: 18×22″
It includes pro-level features such as Suspension Tom Mounts (STM) for enhanced sustain, quarter-sized turret lugs, and graduated triple-flange counter hoops. The bass drum has matching maple hoops and low-mass claw hooks, and every drum has True-Pitch tension rods for more precise tuning. Remo heads are fitted throughout.
Matching snare
A matching 6.5×14″ Performance Series snare drum in the limited Black Oyster Glass FinishPly is sold separately, with the same construction and features as the rest of the series.
