Serato Studio 1.6, which is available now, allows for a wider range of applications through its introduction of audio recording and editing. Recording samples, vocals or even instruments is now possible as Studio makes a push to become a fully fledged DAW.

The beat making centric software from digital DJ industry titans Serato, utilises the DJ softwares audio processing for key transposition and warping.

With this new update, Clips can now be dragged and dropped onto other Audio Tracks, speeding up creative flow which has been a point of emphasis for the software.

Additionally, each Audio Track now has six FX slots, three more than in previous iterations, which will allow further creativity to users.

For those are into live streaming, Serato have created their own Virtual Audio Driver. This add on which you can install in-app allows for streaming audio to other programs (including on Macs where this is not as simple) to other software on your computer including OBS.

The software has a free stripped back version available as well as the full version through subscription (US$9.99/month) and outright purchase (US$199).
