Rhodes reveal more details on their 75th anniversary edition MK8

The limited run of 10 is being slowly revealed the same as the initial MK8 release, while you can hear it in action and enter for your chance to win one here

After what seemed like an eternity of teasers and speculation, the Rhodes MK8 finally arrived, and Rhodes in consistent fashion, are doing the same with the announcement of their 75th anniversary edition, the MK8/75AE.

The MK8 marked the return of Rhodes after their re-establishment, but it didn’t come without a very hefty price tag.

The electro-mechanical keyboard that is considered a classic in regards to both its sound timbre and status within the audio community and it featured some of the classic aesthetics you’d have expected with a lot more to boot.

The special edition of what this could look like is still anyone’s guess, really, but we have been dropped a few hints.

The short run of 10 to commemorate the anniversary will feature analogue bucket brigade effects and some premium design tweaks. 

The first to have been already revealed was the gold name emblem, while we now know it will be a custom blacked out keyboard designed by Kluge Klaviaturen.

The coming months will reveal more about the limited edition model, but in the meantime, you can enter for the chance to win the first of the 10 pianos.
