Synthstrom Audible debut new looping features for Deluge with 3.0 firmware update

Taking cues from the likes of Ableton’s Push and AKAI’s MPC Live controllers, the Synthstrom Audible Deluge is an all-in-one drum machine, synthesiser, groovebox and sequencer, boasting an array of flashing buttons and knobs to endlessly tweak. With firmware update 3.0, the Deluge can now function as a live looper, allowing users to layer and chop recordings on the fly to create a colourful array of sounds to suit any musical spectacle.

When using the live looper, all functions of the Deluge continue to operate, allowing users to stack loops and treat them via the Deluge’s inbuilt effects and drum and synth sounds. There’s also an array of real time performance effects to implement with the looper, including reverse, copy, time and pitch stretch and more. Hear how it all sounds in action below.

In addition to the Deluge’s new looping capabilities, Synthstrom Audible have also included USB host functionality to the unit to allow it to be controlled handsfree via a MIDI foot controller. All in all, this looks like one incredibly powerful unit, which is expected to see a widespread release this Winter.
