Other than its slight face lift (ha), the Babyface Pro FS isn’t too much different from it’s generational elder, however an updated aesthetic and a new switch on the box’s bottom indicate some new improvements in this new offering.
The interface features a new SteadyClock FS circuit, out of the ADI-2 Pro FS, which, as the folks at RME say, ensures “lowest jitter and highest jitter immunity”. Spoken like a true ENT specialist. The PRO FS also has new ADCs that offers lower latency than the PRO, and other features, like the updated headphone outputs which now has 90mWs of power and 10 dBs more of Total Harmonic Distribution (THD).
Further, an added switch on the controller’s bottom allows for easy XLR output level selection, with both +4dBu and +19 dBu options available.
