NAMM 2020: Meris and Chase Bliss announce the CXM 1978 Reverb

Based on the classic Lexicon 224 reverb unit, the CXM 1978 features an incredible 32 bit AD/DA audio conversion, and utilises moving faders for presets and MIDI control. There’s three crispy algorithms on offer – Hall, Room and Plate, while a LoFi mode can also be engaged for some dark, vintage digital tones.

Elsewhere, the CXM features an adjustable decay crossover to let you enjoy a fully shapable reverb tail, while an expression pedal can be used to remotely control all faders. In a post to their socials today, Chase Bliss described what to expect from the illustrious collaboration, saying “Using Chase Bliss Automatone’s robust industrial housing and Meris pro-audio level sound design, the CXM 1978 offers a modern take on its inspiration. Armed with 3 massive algorithms, CXM 1978 takes your guitars and synths to lush new soundscapes.”

Meris is distributed in Australia via Studio Connections.
