Featuring a bound alder body and recessed Floyd Rose locking tremolo, the Tom Morello ‘Soul Power’ Stratocaster also boasts a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbucker in the bridge position and two Fender Noiseless singlecoils in the neck and middle, letting you nail everything from swooping divebombs to screeching feedback. It’s also fitted with a custom killswitch toggle for that classic stutter effect, as well as a chrome pickguard and 22 frets for shredding up the neck.
After being teased by Root back in 2019, Fender have also unveiled the new Jim Root Jazzmaster V4; an updated version of his previous signature model with the company. It’s fitted with active EMG Daemonum humbuckers for a brutal heavy tone, while its simple electronics layout and 12″ fretboard radius ensures that you’re focused on shredding and shredding alone. The guitar also features a slab mahogany body with binding and a maple neck with an ebony fretboard and pearloid block fretboard inlays, and comes in a cool Polar White Satin finish.
Finally, Eric Johnson has teamed up with the big F for yet another signature model, this time with the new ‘Virginia’ Stratocaster for the Fender Stories collection. This one’s based off Johnson’s own 1954 Stratocaster, with both the Fender Custom Shop and Corona plant producing different versions of the guitar. It features a sassafras body and lacquer finish, as well as custom wiring to replicate Johnson’s uniquely scooped tone.
