Favoured by the likes of The 1975, Glass Animals, Gary Clark Jr and Kings of Leon, Fano Guitars have a pretty formidable reputation for creating bespoke, vintage-inspired guitars. The Omnis series aims to give those of us who don’t conquer festival stages for a career a chance to enjoy the quality feel and tone these models deliver, with a pricetag that won’t stomp your savings into the dust.
Billed by the company as their ‘budget boutique’ range, the Omnis Series is comprised of affordable versions of Fano’s JM6, SP6, GF6 and MG6, which are respectively styled upon classic Jazzmaster, Starcaster, Les Paul/Telecaster and Mustang shapes. They’re all set to feature polyutherane finishes and alder bodies, as well as satin-finished maple necks, pau ferro fretboards and Fano proprietary-designed pickups.
Although buyers are unable to really pimp out the Omnis series in terms of custom hardware, relic jobs and finish types, it’s still pretty cool to see Fano branch off into this market. These guitars have a great reputation, and we’ve got our fingers crossed that they make their way down under soon.
