NAMM 2019: Dunlop officially unveils MXR Dookie Drive

The MXR Dookie Drive has been the product of much speculation over the past week and has now been officially confirmed by Dunlop at NAMM 2019.

The pedal aims to capture the “dirty yet articulate” sound of Billie Joe Armstrong’s playing on the 1994 record, which the guitarist originally achieved by running his signal through two heavily modified amps – one with bucketloads of gain, the other with a well-defined mid-range.

Features include controls for gain, output, tone, blend and scoop, plus unique artwork pulled from the Dookie album cover.
