Martin Continue The Celebrations With Three New Guitars

Three more limited-edition releases have been announced; the D-15 Special, 000-15 Special and the DR Centennial – all featuring solid spruce tops. There’s reason to celebrate such a busy year because 2016 marks Martin’s 100 year anniversary of the Dreadnought and the DR Centennial pays homage to that.

D-15 Special

The D-15 Special continues the Martin tradition of finely crafted satin finish, mahogany bodied guitars – the hallmark of the 15-series line. The Special also features a Sitka spruce top, black binding borders, black purfling accents the 2-piece back, and a black heel-cap adorns the solid mahogany neck.

000-15 Special

The Martin 000-15 is almost identical to the D-15 Special in terms of how it was made. It’s differences come in the guitar’s shape, but it would play just as well as the D-15 model.

DR Centennial

The DR Centennial celebrates Martin’s “100 Years of the Dreadnought”. It features the same silky satin finish as the other models with an Adirondack spruce top and a Vintage Tone System.
