Introducing Mune: Bringing Expression To Electronic Music

It’s the kickstarter project of Scott Stevenson and Andrew Staniland, and their aim was to create a device that was visible to an audience while it was being played.

The Mune connects to computers via Bluetooth and features 24 touch sensors and an accelerometer as well as 84 LED lights, which gives it some mood variants.

The Mune is meant to sequence beats, play melodies and chords using controlling effects. It will be supported by a range of compatible apps and will also be able to hook up to regular MIDI-compatible software.

Mune’s software provider is going to be open source. The kickstarter campaign will kick off in August.
