The guitar is made with a solid Sitka spruce top and an arched flamed maple back as a nod to the tonewoods used in upright bass construction, resulting in a clear and detailed bass sound beyond what might be expected for the instrument’s size.
The Jumbo Junior Bass also has a Guild AP-1 active acoustic piezo pickup system with built in volume and tone controls as well as an ebony fingerboard and bridge.
