Thrashv2 is Mackie’s most accessible powered PA yet, available in 12″ and 15″ versions built for players, DJs and anyone tired of being drowned out. It continues a line that started with the SRM450 more than 25 years ago, when Mackie helped define the powered PA category, but strips the idea back to the essentials.

Both models cover the usual jobs – main PA, foldback or a full-range monitor for an amp sim – without much fuss to set up. Connections are kept simple, with one combo input for a mic or line source and a thru output that passes the signal, Bluetooth included, to the next speaker along. Streaming reaches up to two speakers at once, enough for a small DJ setup or a bit of music before doors.
Four voicing modes retune the speaker for the room, so a unit used as foldback sounds different to one out front, while the one-touch Feedback Eliminator clears microphone feedback in a press.
Mounting is flexible, with a built-in pole socket and tightening screw that takes the T100 tripod or an SPM400 pole above a Mackie sub, and the cabinet works just as well upright or on its side. Branded bags are on hand for the trips between rehearsal and the gig.
The new speakers arrive as the latest release under The Freedman Group, the RØDE owner that now runs Mackie alongside Lectrosonics.
