Danelectro launch new ’66 12 string models

Expanding on the six string blueprint laid down by the original, the Reissue ’66 features a semi-hollow construction with a double cutaway and reverse alder body, as well as an alder centre block, a single f-hole and a ‘German-carved’ bevelled edge.

The guitar also features a bolt-on maple nek with a C-shaped neck profile, as well as a pau ferro fretboard with 22 frets to shred upon. The ’66 also features chrome tone and volume controls, as well as a three-way selector switch, vintage style die-cast tuners, a fully adjustable bridge and a precision-cut 12 slot graphite nut, and is available in Transparent Three-Tone Sunburst and Gloss Black.

There’s also a Danelectro coil-tapped lipstick tube humbucker in the bridge position, while an angled full-range P90 singlecoil sits pretty in the neck position. This should allow you to capture just about every famous 12 string out there – whether you want crunchy and chunky or just wide, stereo-sounding jangle, the ’66 has got you sorted.
