Essentially a down-sized variant of the brand’s popular Gold D-6 Dreadnought, the Gold Mini boasts a solid Mahogany neck, back and sides, resulting in a rich, warm tone and enhanced mid-range response. The neck of the instrument sees reinforcement from a double-lock neck joint and two pieces of walnut, with the traditional dovetail neck joint of the guitar also being further bolstered by a single bolt for maximum stability. While it may be a downsized model, the Gold Mini feels every bit as playable as a larger scale Dreadnought, with 19 frets and a 22.8 inch scale making it the perfect couch and travel strummer.
Elsewhere, the Cort Gold Mini also features an abalone rosette and black binding around the body, with triple ply purfling keeping everything looking spick and span. There’s also die-cast tuners, modern X bracing for projection and stability and a sonically enhanced UV finish to protect this bad boy against harmful rays when you’re strumming out ‘Wonderwall’ down at the beach.
