While we saw Cort venture into uncharted territory last month with their first-ever multi-scale eight string guitar, the G290 FAT looks to take the ever-evolving brand further into bold new directions. Fusing a deluxe swamp ash body with an eye-catching flamed maple top, the G290 FAT also features a premium birdseye maple neck and fretboard with contoured heel, with the 12″ – 15.75″ compound radius and Ergo-V neck profile allowing you to shred for hours on end without any complaints.
Elsewhere, Cort have fitted the G290 FAT with two TVH-77 humbuckers for a crispy hot tone, with a unique pickup switching functionality allowing for seamless singlecoil transitions in the second and fourth positions. There’s also room to adjust the truss rod at the bottom of the neck, as well as staggered locking tuners, a removable tremolo arm and the choice of two finishes: Antique Violin Burst and Bright Blue Burst.
