AUTOMATIC TECHNO MACHINE

AUTOMATIC TECHNO MACHINE 1.jpg

Experimental musician, Graham Dunning has a knack for building out of the ordinary musical equipment, but now, taking it one step further, the London artist has created what can only be described as an automatic, analog techno machine.

The young creative uses a singular turntable, multiple modified vinyl records, a six-inch speaker, an old keyboard, wooden separators, an analog synthesizer, Piezo drum triggers and a cowbell to create a truly remarkable piece of equipment.

The result? An epic analog track with an old school, electronic sound.

While you could easily argue that such a machine would never be a practical option for modern DJs, one thing’s for sure – the multidimensional acid trip tune is definitely one-of-a-kind.

Dunning recently revealed the many testing stages of the project as a series of YouTube clips and is now ready to share his Mechanical Techno Device with the world.

The step-by-step construction video is not only extremely intriguing but also an impressive display of imagination and originality, a rarity in a genre that prides itself on the principle of cut, copy and transform.
