RR Auction’s summer instalment of their Marvels of Modern Music series has gone live. In a collection of over 400 items, there are memorabilia items signed and worn by popular musicians the world over.

Your chance to own a piece of history has just opened with the Marvels of Modern Music auction.
A beaded jacket worn by Prince in their directorial debut, Under the Cherry Moon is available for bidding. It has never been washed and features his makeup on the collar of this lace jacket.
Also Prince related is their handwritten lyrics for ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ which was made famous by Sinead O’Connor being one of the best ballads of all time.
Eddie Van Halen, who had other guitars go up for auction recently, has another one here. A signed, stage-used Charvel EVH Art Series electric guitar, used in St. Louis in 2012.
Legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix apparently wrote a song titled ‘To the Wind’ which was neither published nor released. The handwritten lyrics are available for bidding which feature lyrics referencing the elements, love, sexuality and freedom.
Along with signed photographs of The Who, there is a hand-annotated screenplay of Tommy by Pete Townshend. Tommy is a rock opera style movie and album by the band which came out in 1975.
Also noteworthy is a signed copy of Meet the Beatles! originally signed for George Harrison’s older sister and a signed photograph of The Beatles.
