The Revelator io44 is an app-controllable “pocket-sized music studio” and PreSonus’ second release in the Revelator line after the io24, an even smaller bus-powered USB 2.0 audio interface.

It uses a USB-C connector and features a single XLR 1/4” combo jack for microphone, line, or instrument signals, with an additional 1/8” TRRS headset connector and an 1/8” stereo input for podcasters and streamers to monitor. There’s also a pair of 1/4” outputs for your monitors.

It boasts a vast range of onboard DSP including a high-pass filter, gate, compression options, EQ, limiting, and voice effects, and is capable of recording up to 96kHz/24bit.

An integrated stereo loopback mixer allows you to converge multiple audio streams such as backing tracks, Skype or Zoom calls, or gaming audio, while there’s also a ‘Stream Mix’ mode to mix input signals, effects and loopback channels.

The Revelator Dynamic is the second USB mic of the series but differs from the condenser mic, even fashioning a classic broadcast style.

It is also app-controllable and connects through a USB-C connector, is bus powered, and has a resolution of up to 96kHz/24bit, while boasting a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz through its cardioid polar pattern.

Latency-free monitoring is capable through its headphone output, while the built-in software mixer also lets you quickly add backing tracks to your livestream performance or conference in a Zoom caller to your podcast.

The microphone comes with the PTS-1 table stand and a software package consisting of Studio One Artist and Studio Magic Suite and is compatible with Windows 10 (64 bit), macOS 10.13 and up, iOS and iPadOS (may require an Apple Camera Connection Kit), and Chromebook.
