Klevgrand's award-winning drum sampler has gotten a substantial overhaul, bringing a brand new Motion engine, thousands of fresh sounds, and highly requested features that push rhythmic creativity further than before.

OneShot2 has officially landed, marking a major evolution of the award-winning drum sampler — one that’s been trusted by thousands of music makers since its original launch back in March 2023.

The most significant update of this release in the Motion engine. Where most drum samplers deal in static single hits, OneShot2 lets you build phrases that breathe and evolve over time. Brush strokes, cymbal swells, shaker figures, and foley movements can now be crafted directly inside the instrument. It’s a bold step that takes drum samplers where they typically haven’t been before.

Key features:

  • Motion Slots — continuous sounds that shift in intensity over time
  • Motion Triggers — intensity controlled by envelope, MIDI CC, or Poly aftertouch
  • Stack Triggers — layer multiple sounds from a single MIDI note
  • 780+ slots, 310+ presets, 20,000+ samples
  • Reverb2 (from Walls), Transient Adder (from Fosfat), Unstereo
  • NoteOff functionality for One Shot durations
  • Copy/paste effects, smart preset import/export
  • Multi-output routing for DAW processing
  • Free iPhone Motion Controller companion app (macOS only)
  • VST3, AU, AAX — macOS and Windows

The library has grown considerably, with over 310 presets, 780+ slots, and more than 20,000 samples — spanning acoustic kits, drum machines, cinematic textures, and a whole lot more. Drop in your own samples too, and the plugin’s built-in smarts will turn them into fully playable instruments instantly. As Tyler Sabbag, Emmy-winning composer and producer, puts it: “I love being able to load my own samples into OneShot2 and immediately play them like instruments.”

New effects inspired by Klevgrand’s own Walls and Fosfat plugins are also on board — Reverb2, a Transient Adder, and a handy Unstereo tool for reining in things when they get a bit too wide. All existing OneShot expansions carry over, and new packs, including artist collaborations, will continue rolling out regularly.

For macOS users with an iPhone, there’s also a free companion Motion Controller app that lets you shape motion sounds using your phone’s accelerometer, turning physical movement into rhythmic expression.
