The 2026 edition pulled 60,000-plus visitors from 122 countries, and NAMM is building on that for 2027.

The 2027 NAMM Show has locked in its dates, running in Anaheim, California from 26 to 30 January, with the main exhibition floors open from 28 to 30 January. The music tech trade show pairs five days of industry education, live performances and special events with three days of exhibits and brand activations.

NAMM remains the big meeting point for buyers and sellers in the gear world. The 2026 edition drew more than 60,000 attendees from 122 countries, regions and territories, representing an estimated US$9.8 billion (approximately $14.09 billion AUD) in buying power, and 92 per cent of exhibitors reported connecting with their target audience.

The show’s reach now stretches well beyond the US, and Australian brands and buyers are part of a growing international crowd. More than 8,650 international attendees turned up in 2026, with Europe making up 34.6 per cent, Latin America 23.1 per cent and East Asia 22.9 per cent, and markets like Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala growing year on year. China, Mexico, Canada, the UK, Germany, Italy, Japan and Brazil topped the list of attending countries, and the strong Asia-Pacific turnout puts NAMM within easy reach for Australian exhibitors and retailers.

Creators and performers have become a core part of the crowd, now making up 26.1 per cent of attendees, and content coming out of the 2026 show reached more than 70 million social media views, a figure growing at 83.6 per cent a year since 2023. Creator Lounges, Creator Studios and expanded influencer programming give brands a way to work with content makers on the floor in real time.

On the education side, the 2026 show ran more than 250 sessions covering business strategy, the creator economy, recording, live sound, music education and emerging tech, pulling over 91,000 engagements across the week.

“For NAMM member companies and attendees, success means measurable outcomes, qualified business leads, meaningful partnership discussions, and media influencer exposure that extends throughout the year,” said John Mlynczak, NAMM president and CEO.

Recent shows have also hosted performances from the likes of Jon Batiste, Jacob Collier, Billy Corgan, Green Day, Charlie Puth, Lindsey Stirling, Jack White and Victor Wooten. The 2027 edition again includes the show’s awards, among them the TEC Awards and She Rocks Awards.
