Manager (Triple J, Hack, Unearthed) – Triple J (Sydney)

Here’s a big one: Australia’s leading public youth broadcaster, Triple J, are on the lookout for a leader to join their team in an executive capacity and shape the content strategy across their platforms – namely the Js, Hack and Unearthed – in 2021. Ideally, you’ll have extensive experience in radio and cross-platform program construction, as well as a strategic direction and analytical prowess unlike any other.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated Leadership skills, with an ability to Lead and inspire a team of program makers in making diverse programs for a youth audience.
  • Proven experience in radio and in cross-platform program construction including the ability to manage projects and major broadcasting initiatives.
  • Demonstrated outstanding editorial skills and judgement, including a high Level understanding of the Australian music industry and modern copyright and intellectual property issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the strategic direction of triple j, with an intricate knowledge of the target audience of young Australians.
  • Proven interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop partnerships and meaningful stakeholder relationships at all Levels to maximise opportunities and gain maximum value towards corporate goals.
  • Demonstrated excellent facilitation, coaching and conflict resolution skills.

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and manage triple j’s radio and digital teams to deliver outstanding program content for 18 to  24 year olds.
  • Provide high level leadership in editorial decision making and build triple j’s audience across all platforms.
  • Provide outstanding program content and generate original ideas for on air and off air activities.
  • Lead editorial direction for all teams, including the annual commissioning process for triplej and triplej Unearthed.
  • Lead triple j digital content for website and social media, working with digital editorial team.
  • Oversee overall triplej station sound and campaigns, including outside broadcasts, events, promos and imaging.
  • Work with triplej Unearthed EP on programming, development and overall direction.
  • Work with triplej Marketing, Promos, Digital, Unearthed and News, including regular update meetings with all of them.
  • Attend ABC divisional meetings and contribute to ABC wide initiatives as required.
  • Manage internal partnerships within Entertainment & Specialist, Product & Technology, Regional & Local, News and other campaigns where relevant
  • Manage station admin, including complaint responses, external work requests and leave planning.

Human Resources Manager – Fender Music Australia (Sydney)

Surely we need not explain who Fender are! The iconic instrument company’s Australian arm are currently hiring a Human Resources Manager to work with their Sydney team on a part-time basis, facilitating all workplace policies and procedures to make sure everything goes to plan within the company.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 6 – 8 years of relevant experience as a Human Resource Generalist or managerExcellent communication skills

Label Coordinator – Cooking Vinyl Australia (Melbourne)

An integral force in Australia’s independent music landscape, Cooking Vinyl Australia are currently accepting applications for a talented individual to join their ranks and assist in the day-to-day running of their label in Brunswick.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally gained within the music or media industry
  • Elite organisation skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
  • Digitally savvy, particularly in the music space across streaming platforms, Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Bandcamp etc.
  • Experience with metadata and all digital and physical release specifications

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Upkeep and detailed maintenance of the label’s release schedule in consultation with the label team.
  • Upkeep and detailed maintenance of the label’s asset share drive.
  • Digital Product scheduling via our digital distributor’s online platform, adhering to campaign rollouts.
  • Liaising directly with Digital Distribution partners across all day to day elements of the label’s release schedule
  • Physical product scheduling adhering to our physical distribution partner’s requirements and across our D2C platforms (Shopify, Bandcamp).
  • Liaising directly with physical distribution partner across all day to day aspects of release schedule, stock delivery into DADC warehouse,
  • Coordination of physical product manufacturing for priority releases.
  • Stock inventory control including regular orders from international suppliers of finished product.
  • Liaising directly with freight companies to track orders ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
