Junior Marketing Manager – Warner Music Australia (Sydney)

Warner Music Australia’s Commercial Marketing team are on the hunt to hire a new Junior Marketing Manager to help launch releases in the Adult Contemporary, Heritage, Mainstream Rock and Country niches. Ideally, you’ll have two year of industry experience and the ability to seek out and maintain relationships between artists, management and everyone else in between.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in consumer, digital media, brand or entertainment marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in business (marketing) or related field
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with a broad array of employees and constituents, including artists and senior management
  • A fresh approach, are analytical and a confident communicator. All this allows you to work cross-functionally and autonomously with multiple partners
  • A collaborative, growth mindset, exhibit curiosity, proactively resolve problems and are always looking for opportunities to improve the way we work
  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite
  • Advanced photoshop/Canva/content creation skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to construct and implement innovative marketing strategies and ideas
  • Proactive, highly organised, outstanding attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and an effective communicator
  • High energy levels, a love of music and genuine interest in marketing and digital platforms are an absolute must
  • Digital savvy – Strategic mindset with knowledge and understanding of online and digital environments, in particular social media, the digital retail landscape and advertising campaign insights, trends, analytics and evaluate ROI
  • Manage marketing expenditure within budgets set by Director – Commercial Marketing, while monitoring streams/sales on each project

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Set objectives, build, Implement and communicate artist strategy for your assigned roster of artists.  Build or reactivate the existing fan base, online conversation, content strategy, product mix and consumption drivers for assigned roster from signing of the artist, through the release campaigns and ongoing artist catalogue management
  • Be able to “think outside the box” and implement fresh and effective ways to reach new and existing audiences of your assigned releases
  • Develop and manage creative artist campaigns, maintain close working relationships with artists, managers, international affiliates, 3rd party agencies, business partners and the label as a whole
  • Manage, and execute marketing plans, consider all key pillars: Audience, Partners, Consumption, Advertising, Promotions, E-commerce, Sync and Brands
  • Collaborate, communicate and share the music, goals, vision and strategy to key internal business teams in a timely and professional manner
  • Be an advocate for great communication for the artists you represent, create excitement, contribution and conversation that will drive activity and positive results
  • Create products, concepts, advertising, content and tools for use across all media and audience partners for each campaign
  • Identify, create, and reach the target audience through traditional and emerging channels and platforms with creative and personal messaging
  • Be organised and detail oriented, set clear guidelines on what is next
  • Generate timelines, sometimes agile by nature, and coordinate the efforts of all with an inclusive nature to meet all deadlines
  • Be analytical and when consumption changes be investigative

Multimedia All-Rounder – Empire Music Studios (Melbourne)

Formerly known as Studio 52, Empire Music Studios have recently moved to Heidelberg and are looking to hire a music-focused creative all-rounder to assist in a number of visual asset production tasks.

From photography to graphic design and video editing, this job can be accepted on a full time, casual, flexible or even on a mutual partnership basis, and could suit a multi-faceted musical creative looking to add another notch to their belt.

Digital Reporting Analyst – APRA AMCOS (Sydney)

APRA AMCOS are seeking to add a new Digital Reporting Analyst to their Sydney team to assist in reporting and processing on tasks regarding digital downloads and streaming services.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Experience developing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL, VBA, Python or equivalent scripting language experience
  • Understanding of the music industry and APRA AMCOS’ role
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerBI skills to manipulate and present data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to translate technical terminology to plain English.
  • Technical understanding of key data processing elements: pre-processing/parsing, aggregation, validation, matching.

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with a large and diverse client base.
  • Closely monitor scheduled reporting timelines ensuring on time receipt of data files, liaising with respective providers where deadlines are not met.
  • Escalate reporting non-compliance to Manager and licensing or distribution stakeholders where required in accordance with agreed service levels.
  • Assess music usage/claim/payment reports or product registrations received in various formats from data providers.
  • Use appropriate in-system reporting to track file integrity standards.
  • Identify and resolve problems from both a technical or content integrity standpoint, co-coordinating any investigation into large anomalies with Manager.
  • Analyse, edit, and load incoming usage data into the APRA AMCOS database, ensuring ingested data meets specification.

Skills / Experience Required:
