Guitarist Manuel Gardner Fernandes has been forced to cancel his upcoming Australian clinic tour after suffering a ruptured eardrum.
Australis Music Group (AMG) have announced the cancellation following a medical complication that has left the guitarist unable to travel. The news comes as a disappointment to fans who were looking forward to seeing the talented performer across multiple Australian cities.

“Last week, one of my eardrums ruptured following flying with an unnoticed ear infection,” Fernandes explained in a statement. “It is terrifying when you suddenly cannot hear out of one of your ears.”
Medical professionals have strictly forbidden the guitarist from flying for the coming weeks, making the tour impossible to proceed. The decision was made in consultation with Ibanez Japan and Soundgroup Australia.
“There are so many exciting things going on for me right now, but these things happen, and now I have to pivot,” Fernandes continued. “While my focus is on healing, it is a process that will take some time. I am really sad about this as I was looking forward to returning to my fans & friends in Australia. Hopefully, we can make up for this in the near future!”
AMG has expressed gratitude for the community’s support and understanding, with Fernandes’ health and recovery remaining the absolute priority.
