A built-in stand, wide tempo range, and optional contact mic headline KORG's newest practice tool.
KORG has announced the TM-1 Combo Tuner Metronome, a practice tool that runs a tuner and metronome simultaneously in what the brand describes as the smallest and lightest body in the TM Series. The unit reaches authorised dealers worldwide from 16 September.
According to KORG, the TM-1 allows players to work on pitch and timing at once, with the display providing tuning feedback while the metronome keeps the beat, rather than requiring separate tools for each.

The compact unit is designed to fit into a case pocket or gig bag, and includes a built-in foldable stand that angles the display upward for use on a music stand or desk.
Detection runs from C1 to C8 with measurement precision within ±1 cent, covering the range of most wind and string instruments. Reference pitch adjusts from A4 = 438 to 450 Hz in 1 Hz steps, and a Sound Out function plays reference tones across one octave, from C4 to C5, for players who prefer to tune by ear.
On the metronome side, moving dots track the beat visually across the display, with tempo running from 30 to 252 BPM in single-step increments and a Tap Tempo function for quickly setting pace. Fifteen rhythm and beat variations are included to cover subdivision work and shuffle feels, though KORG notes that triplets, triplet shuffle, sixteenth notes, and sixteenth-note shuffle cannot be selected when the tuner and metronome are running at the same time.
For noisier rehearsal environments, the TM-1 supports an optional CM-400 contact microphone via its 3.5 mm input, allowing the unit to read an instrument’s vibrations directly rather than relying on its built-in microphone.
The TM-1 will be available in black or white. It runs on two AAA batteries, offering approximately 400 hours of battery life when used as a tuner alone or around 200 hours as a metronome, weighs just 51 g excluding batteries, and measures 100 x 60 x 16 mm, making it easy to slip into an instrument case without adding noticeable bulk. It ships with a Quick Start Guide, with the CM-400 contact microphone available as a separate accessory purchase.
The KORG TM-1 will be available through authorised dealers worldwide beginning 16 September.
