Jimmy Barnes, Hoodoo Gurus + more announced for Red Hot Summer Tour 2021

Words by Will Brewster

Bringing live music back to the fold this March.

After being forced to cancel much of this year’s tour due to COVID-19, the Red Hot Summer Tour has announced its comeback for 2021, bringing a smoking lineup of Australian talent to regional centres around the country.

Featuring the likes of Jimmy Barnes, Hoodoo Gurus, Vika & Linda, Diesel, Jon Stevens and Chris Cheney, the Red Hot Summer Tour is slated to kick off in Tasmania this March, with the tour later travelling on to South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.

Dates in New South Wales and Victoria are set to be announced pending further easing of restrictions.

Next year’s tour will also see Red Hot Summer Tour adopt a COVID-safe format for all shows, with promoters liaising with governments and stakeholders to ensure the event complies with all safety regulations.

“Bringing together our mates in the music industry and taking the tour around Australia has always been special, but next year’s run is going to mean a lot to everyone,” promoter Duane McDonald said in a statement released alongside the lineup.

“We’ve invited some of the artists who have been championing the tour from the very beginning and know everyone can’t wait to put on an incredible show. We look forward to making new musical memories for the next decade and can’t wait to see all the music-lovers who have supported us over the years at one of the shows in 2021.”

Check out all the dates and details over at the Red Hot Summer Tour website. Tickets for all shows go on sale 9am Thursday November 12 via Ticketmaster.
