Iron Maiden's Run for Your Lives World Tour is heading to Australian stadiums and arenas in November 2026, with Megadeth confirmed as very special guests for what promises to be a landmark night of heavy metal.
Fifty years in and Iron Maiden are still raising the bar. The British heavy metal icons have announced their eighth Australian tour, and this one is a milestone — for the first time ever, the band will headline outdoor stadiums in both Melbourne and Sydney, alongside arena shows in Adelaide and Brisbane.
Catch up on all the latest news here.
The Run for Your Lives Tour lands in Australia this November, built around a setlist drawn from the band’s first nine albums. Fans can expect classics like Hallowed Be Thy Name, Run to the Hills, The Number of the Beast, Phantom of the Opera, Killers, Powerslave, and 2 Minutes to Midnight, plus epics including Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Manager Rod Smallwood has noted that several of these songs will be performed live for the very last time on these Australian dates, as the shows fall at the tail end of the tour.
Joining Maiden on all four dates are Megadeth, who recently scored a number one album in both Australia and the USA with their self-titled final studio release. Steve Harris and Dave Mustaine go back years, and having Megadeth along for what is their last-ever world tour adds a historic weight to the whole event. Two metal titans, one night, no argument.
The production has been purpose-built for large venues, with state-of-the-art visuals designed to accompany the classic era setlist. Eddie’s Pop-up Dive Bar, which was actually first trialled in Australia on the Future Past Tour, will also return, along with the Trooper VIP Experience at all venues.
The band is politely but firmly asking fans to keep phones in their pockets and actually experience the show. Given the setlist, that seems like very good advice.
Tour dates:
11 November: Adelaide Entertainment Centre
13 November at AAMI Park in Melbourne
15 November at Allianz Stadium
18 November at Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
