YOU:
- Keen interest in and appreciation for all styles of music, with a specialised interest in classic rock, metal, punk, hip hop, or electronic music
- Knowledge of musical instruments and technology is a bonus. Be sure to let us know if you’re particularly well versed in a specific area, e.g. guitars, production software
- Some experience writing is preferred; however, we’re always keen to support emerging creators looking to hone their craft
- Strong knowledge of Mixdown’s audience and writing style
US:
Mixdown is a national music street press, distributing 30,000 copies each month, and a dedicated online voice for the Australian music industry. We cover breaking music news, interview some of the biggest names in the industry, and review the latest gear releases.
DETAILS:
This is a paid position on a freelance basis. We’ll accept applications from all over Australia, as you won’t need to come into the office to write. Instead, you’ll be able to work remotely from home and communicate via the wonders of modern technology.
