It follows the Music Works strategy, which is a $22.2 million dollar inatitive to help local music venues, market development, as well as touring and career pathway opportunities.
“Being selected to host the 2018 Music Cities Convention reflects Melbourne’s position as Australia’s music capital and a globally recognised music city,” said Martin Foley, the Victorian Minister for Creative Industries. “It is a win for our passionate music community.”
