The free website brings venue profiles, a drag-and-drop route planner and a community radio directory together to make touring metropolitan, regional and remote Australia easier to plan.
The Australian Music Industry Network (AMIN) has launched the Australian Music Touring Network (AMTN), a free national website that maps original live music venues across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia to help artists and their teams plan tours.
The launch coincides with the 2026 Regional & Remote Music Summit in Mount Gambier, South Australia, and the platform builds on MusicNSW’s Regional Touring Network, a similar map-based tool for regional New South Wales that launched in 2022.

Artists, managers, booking agents and tour managers can browse the map or filter it to find suitable rooms, with each venue profile listing capacity, preferred genres, opening days, booking contacts, technical specs and accessibility details. Profiles also include local knowledge about nearby accommodation, food and transport, and venues can be saved to a Favourites list to build a shortlist of potential stops.
The Touring function turns that shortlist into a route. Stops can be dragged and dropped into order on the map, with distances and approximate driving times shown between each one, and the finished itinerary can be exported to a spreadsheet and shared with the rest of the team as a ready-made tour book.
The platform also maps community radio stations along a planned route, developed with support from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). Station profiles link through to Amrap (the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project), giving artists another way to reach local audiences while they’re in town.
“I’m delighted to see MusicNSW’s Regional Touring Network (RTN) inspiring the development of the Australian Music Touring Network,” says MusicNSW managing director Joe Muller. “The success of the RTN and the feedback we’ve received from artists about its value underpins this national expansion, and I look forward to all of Australia having access to this invaluable resource.”

The Australian Music Touring Network has been assisted by the Australian Government through Music Australia and Creative Australia.
Original live music venues are encouraged to register to appear on the map, while artists and industry professionals can sign up for free access here
