Among ambassadorial duties, artists will donate their time to surprise instrument drops in their local communities, provide guidance and awareness as well as donating signed instruments and memorabilia for auction.
Fender has also pledged to raise $3 million, with an initial donation of $1 million, towards educational institutions and organisations that teach youth how to play and further support will be given to the ambassador’s personal charities that align with the company’s mission.
The Fender Play Foundation programs will start near Fender’s company offices in Los Angeles, Nashville and Scottsdale, with further cities and ambassadors primed for expansion in 2020.
