The move brings the full PRS range onto D’Addario Australia’s nationwide dealer network, and the two companies say it should mean better stock availability, more dedicated brand and technical support, and expanded marketing and artist programs for Australian dealers and players. It will cover the lot, from the US-made Maryland instruments through to the more affordable SE series.
PRS has been building guitars in Stevensville, Maryland since 1985, and its range runs from electric and acoustic guitars to boutique-style amps and effects pedals. Carlos Santana, John Mayer, Mark Tremonti, Myles Kennedy, Ed Sheeran and Keith Urban are among the players on its roster.
“Partnering with D’Addario Australia provides us with a team that shares our values and our dedication to serving musicians and dealers at the highest level,” says Jack Higginbotham, chief operating officer of PRS Guitars. “We are excited about the opportunities this partnership creates for the Australian market.”
Australian dealers will get the details on ordering, inventory, warranty support and dealer programs over the coming weeks, with the changeover set for 17 August. For anyone shopping for a PRS or after servicing and warranty on one they already own can head to D’Addario.
