Fender announces executive updates with new product and sales leadership appointments

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation has named new Chief Product Officers across its guitars and electronics divisions, alongside key sales leadership changes, as the company sharpens its focus under CEO Edward "Bud" Cole.

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) has announced a round of executive appointments across its product and sales organisations, signalling where the company is placing its priorities as it heads into its 80th year.

Justin Norvell has been appointed Chief Product Officer, Fender Guitars, where he’ll oversee the global stringed instrument portfolio across Fender’s brands, including the Custom Shop. A 30-year Fender veteran, his focus will be on product development, craftsmanship and innovation across the instrument range.

Max Gutnik takes on the role of Chief Product Officer, Fender Electronics, leading the global electronics and digital product portfolio. Gutnik’s background spans guitar amplification, effects, pro audio and software.

On the sales side, Irene Shvartsman has been named Senior Vice President Sales, Americas, leading Fender’s North American commercial operation and dealer relationships. Paco Elizondo continues as General Manager, Latin America, overseeing sales and operations across the region.
