Fender Player II
Words by Mixdown staff

Fender is unveiling the next evolution of its best-selling class of electric and bass guitars: the Player II Series.

Arriving six years after the introduction of the now-legendary Fender Player series – championed by the likes of MUNA, Dylan and Beabadoobee – the latest range is designed to continue to capture the imaginations of new players and simultaneously satisfy the demands of more experienced guitarists alike.

The all-new Player II Series will improve upon Player’s formula and massive popularity by taking everything that made the original range great (Modern ”C” shaped necks, 9.5” radius fingerboards, and medium jumbo frets) and upping the ante with new features including:

  • Rosewood fingerboards: Players now once again have the choice between Fender’s staple fingerboard options – Maple and Rosewood – with rolled edges
  • Upgraded hardware: Player II is now loaded with ClassicGear tuners and upgraded bridges, making these instruments ready for whatever you throw at them.
  • Never-seen-before colours: Choose from Coral Red, Aquatone Blue, Hialeah Yellow and Birch Green – colours all inspired by 50’s and 60’s vintage cars
  • New offset pickups: Re-voiced Player II Series pickups that capture the quintessential tone (and look) of each of these iconic Fender models.
