Two finishes lifted from the Fender archives land on the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster and most of the Player II basses.
Rallye Orange is one of two finishes Fender has just added to its Player II Series, alongside a muted green-grey it calls Cactus Gray, and between them they turn up on nearly every electric and bass in the range.

The Player II line runs on a Modern “C” neck with a satin urethane back, rolled fingerboard edges and 22 medium jumbo frets over a 9.5-inch radius. Rosewood fingerboards returned to the series at launch, and both finishes are pulled from the Fender archives.
You’ll find Rallye Orange on the Stratocaster, Stratocaster HSS, Telecaster, Telecaster HH, Jazzmaster, Jaguar and all three basses – the Precision, Jazz and Mustang Bass PJ. Cactus Gray covers much of the same ground, showing up on the two Strats, the Telecaster HH, the left-handed Telecaster, the Mustang and each of the basses.

Fingerboard pairings change from model to model – the orange Stratocaster ships with rosewood while the Precision Bass takes maple. The Jaguar goes its own way, skipping Cactus Gray for a Birch Green that no other model carries.

Pickups, hardware and construction all stay as they were, so this is an update for players looking for a Player II in a new, bold finish.
