The Sydney rock trio have expanded their headline run into 2026 with new shows in Fremantle and Margaret River following strong demand.

The Sydney trio will hit Freo Social in Fremantle on 30 January and Settlers Tavern in Margaret River on 31 January, rounding out a run that’s already seen their Melbourne show at Max Watts sell out entirely. These extra shows come hot off the heels of their remaining December shows in Adelaide, Byron Bay, and Coffs Harbour, plus this weekend’s performances in Melbourne and Sydney as part of Bird’s Robe’s 15th Birthday Tour.
Walk The Line, released back in September, marks Cog’s first new material since 2019. It’s classic Cog through and through, reminding fans why Cog have remained as an Australian staple for so long. The track tackles themes of life as a musician in 2025, delivered with the assurance of a band that knows exactly what they’re doing.
Vocalist Flynn Gower says the response has been overwhelmingly positive. “The feedback and response we’ve had so far to Walk The Line and the upcoming shows has been fantastic,” he shares. “It makes us feel so good to know that people are enjoying what we’ve put so much time and love into.”
After emerging in the late 90s, Cog became a cornerstone of Australian heavy music with their 2005 debut full-length The New Normal. Their 2008 follow-up Sharing Space went Gold, cementing their reputation through relentless touring and festival slots at Big Day Out, Falls Festival, and Homebake. After a five-year hiatus, they returned in 2016 with a completely sold-out comeback tour and have been steadily releasing new material ever since, including singles like The Middle, Altered States, and Drawn Together.
Recent years have seen the band headlining The Other Festival and Thrashville, proving they’re far from resting on past achievements.
