BIGSOUND has unveiled over 120 artists for its 2025 festival, featuring KAIIT, WAFIA, Inkabee and Azure Ryder.
The music discovery festival transforms Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley into a showcase platform for emerging and established artists from 2-5 September. BIGSOUND 2025 presents artists across rock, pop, country, R&B, folk, punk, electronic and hip hop genres, reflecting the diversity of contemporary music communities.

Festival programmers Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne curated the lineup alongside a Programming Advisory Group, selecting artists who represent innovation and influence in Australian music. Featured performers include WAFIA, whose soulful electronic and R&B music has captured international audiences following her debut album Promised Land released earlier this year.

Melbourne-based Papua New Guinean neo-soul artist KAIIT joins the lineup following recent APRA Music Award recognition and new releases hinting at her highly anticipated debut album And Off She Goes. At just 12 years old, Perth hip hop artist Inkabee becomes possibly BIGSOUND’s youngest ever showcasing artist, having gained attention through viral performances at SXSW and America’s Got Talent.
Sydney indie artist Azure Ryder brings her breakout momentum from the UK, where she performed with Teddy Swims and BoyWithUke, while Perth rock band The Southern River Band delivers their fierce live rock and roll following European festival appearances. Brisbane’s Hatchie returns with her blend of dreamy pop and shoegaze soundscapes, building on her AIR and J Award nominations.
The festival operates across 18 venues throughout Fortitude Valley, allowing attendees to explore different musical experiences with a single wristband. Previous BIGSOUND discoveries include Flume, Tash Sultana, Tones And I, Courtney Barnett, Baker Boy and King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard.
