Built for on-set monitoring, front-of-house checks and the DJ booth, the closed-back on-ear pairs strong passive isolation with swivel cups and replaceable pads.
beyerdynamic has added the DT 275 PRO to its PRO headphone line, a compact on-ear monitor built for making audio decisions in loud, hectic environments. Where an open-backed pair would let the outside bleed in, the closed-back DT 275 PRO features passive isolation, cutting around 22 dBA of ambient noise so a signal check on a busy set or at the front-of-house desk still reads clearly.

Targeted at those working away from a quiet control room, the DT 275 PRO is ideal for FOH engineers, content creators, camera crews and DJs, monitoring on set, on the side of stage or in the booth. beyerdynamic has pitched it as the affordable entry into its DT PRO series, and the design leans towards portability, with a weight under 200 grams and ear cups that swivel inwards to fold flat for a bag.
The connection cable attaches to either the left or right ear cup and locks in place, so it stays put during quick movements, and running it to one side keeps it clear of the workspace and away from anything it might snag on. When parts wear out, the faux leather ear pads and the headband cushions all come off and can be reordered, which keeps the headphones going for longer and helps production teams meet hygiene rules on shared kit.
Under the closed shells is a dynamic driver with a frequency response of 5 Hz to 24 kHz and a 45-ohm impedance, easy enough to drive from a desk output or a camera. The DT 275 PRO ships with a 1.5-metre coiled and straight cable, a gold-plated 3.5 mm jack, a quarter-inch adapter and a drawstring bag.
“Until now, many professional users had to choose between high sound isolation, neutral sound and a compact, portable design. With the DT 275 PRO, we have combined these different requirements in a single product for the first time,” says Martin Stahl, Director of PRO Audio Products at beyerdynamic.
The DT 275 PRO is available now, priced at $199 RRP. Head here to learn more.
