Factory ageing is more often associated with pricier boutique and Custom Shop instruments, and the Aged Series brings that worn look to Harley Benton’s more affordable range.
The brand has taken five of its vintage-style guitars and basses and put them through the ageing process, with the new Aged Series arriving in factory-worn finishes across 20 models. The shapes will be familiar to anyone who has browsed their Vintage Series: the TE-62 and ST-62 are T and S-style, the JA-60 is an offset, and the JB-62 and PB-62 are the Jazz Bass and P-Bass.
Each model comes in two levels of wear, Light Aged and Heavy Aged, so it’s a choice between a lightly played-in look and the aging you’d find on a guitar after decades of gigs. The finishes are matched throughout with aged hardware, so there’s no shiny new bridge on a relic’d body.

Roasted maple necks, Isola pickups and vintage-style hardware run across the range. Harley Benton states the ageing uses a durable poly finish that was developed specifically to get the character and patina right, rather than just scuffing up a standard coat.
There’s plenty of colours in the finish list, including classics like Olympic White, Sunburst and Black, alongside Seafoam Green, Shell Pink and Lake Placid Blue. Two of Harley Benton’s most-requested combinations in Lake Placid Blue over Sunburst and Candy Apple over Sunburst.
