Behringer have announced their latest entry into the world of tone-shaping, the BM-11M Low Pass Filter, a compact analogue filter pedal that promises to bring studio-grade sonic sculpting to pedalboards and live rigs alike.

Expected to land in Australia this October via Australis Music Group with an RRP of $229, the BM-11M is billed as a faithful reimagining of one of the most iconic low pass filters of the ’90s, combining vintage analogue circuitry with modern connectivity

Vintage Tone Meets Modern Control

At its core, the BM-11M delivers smooth and creamy 2-pole and 4-pole filtering, complete with a resonance control that can push tones from subtle warmth into screaming, harmonically rich sweeps. The pedal also boasts a vintage-inspired preamp and drive stage, designed to fatten up your signal and add character before diving into the filter itself.

Adding to its versatility is an envelope control section, opening the door to dynamic, touch-sensitive filter sweeps that respond directly to your playing. For those chasing hands-free manipulation, an expression pedal input has been included, making it easy to perform classic filter swells and sweeps in real time.

Connectivity and Creative Flexibility

Unlike the filters of old, the BM-11M embraces a modern workflow with USB-C and MIDI integration, expanding its use far beyond traditional pedalboard setups. Producers, synth users and experimentalists will find the additional control options a welcome feature, allowing the filter to sync seamlessly with studio gear or DAW environments.

Compact yet ruggedly built, the BM-11M is designed for the stage as much as the studio, with a form factor that encourages easy pairing with other pedals for even more adventurous sound design. Whether you’re chasing subtle tonal enhancement or radical frequency carving, the BM-11M positions itself as a versatile tool for a wide range of players and producers.

With its blend of vintage tone and forward-thinking control, the BM-11M Low Pass Filter looks set to become another go-to in Behringer’s growing roster of creative tools.
