They have announced that they have been working on a full-sized version the ‘DS-80’ and could now be possibly looking to translate it into a smaller footprint module.
The front panel is slider-based and it gives it a less cluttered feel than a variety of knobs and buttons as we’ve seen on some of their previous mini-synths.
Black Corporation’s Deckard’s Dream synth already produced a Eurorack module with a single voice of the CS-80 which is full of sliders, but this proposal from Behringer will have a much smaller fraction of the asking price – potentially US$99.
It appears that the HPF and filter envelope are glaring omissions that are expected in smaller footprint modules, although Behringer posed in their Facebook post that it could go up to 3-note polyphony, while adding a Motion Sequencer is a nice touch.
